Erica and I were skeptical about having a doula. During the pregnancy, we took a tour of the hospital and asked a bunch of doctors and nurses what they thought. We received mixed reviews on doulas in general but when we said that we were considering Denise, the conversation changed and everyone endorsed her wholeheartedly. And it was a great decision. Denise was a huge help during the entire labour and delivery experience. She provided physical, emotional, and informational support. We’re very glad we had her there.
