Rules & Regulations
These Rules & Regulations (the "Rules") govern the contest (the "Contest") running on www.gigpark.com (the "Site"). No purchase is necessary to enter into any Contest. The act of entering a Contest constitutes acceptance of the Rules and decision(s) of the Contest judge (the "Judge").
Contest
The Contest commences on Monday May 11, 2009 and closes at 11:59 p.m (PST) (the "Closing Time") on Friday, July 31, 2009 (the "Contest Period"). The grand prize winner of the Contest will be eligible to receive 1 (one) gift certificate for a total value of $349 (USD) for an authorized Eee PC retailer or the online Best Buy store in the country of the grand prize winner. If there is not an authorized Eee PC retailer or an online Best Buy store in the country of the grand prize winner the Prize will consist of 1 (one) gift certificate for a total value of $349 (USD) for the US online Best Buy store.
Eligibility
This Contest is open to people who are 18 years of age or over as at the first day of the Contest Period. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and local laws and regulations and is voidable where prohibited by law.
Prize
In this Contest, there is a total of 1 (one) grand prize to be won. The grand prize winner of the Contest will be eligible to receive 1 (one) gift certificate for a total value of $349 (USD) for an authorized Eee PC retailer or the online Best Buy store in the country of the grand prize winner. If there is not an authorized Eee PC retailer or an online Best Buy store in the country of the grand prize winner the Prize will consist of 1 (one) gift certificate for a total value of $349 (USD) for the US online Best Buy store. The potential for any contestant to win the Prize will depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
Draw
Within 5 business day(s) of the end of the Contest Period, 1 (one) grand prize winner will be chosen. The contest draw will be held in Toronto, Ontario and will be made from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
General
The selected contestant(s) will be contacted by email by representatives of GigPark. The selected contestant(s) must respond within 72 hours to maintain eligibility.
In all matters relating to the promotion and awarding of the Prize, the Judges’ rulings are final and without appeal. All entries that are incomplete, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy the Rules, may be disqualified by GigPark. GigPark is not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest.
GigPark assumes no responsibility for failure of the internet or the Site itself during the Contest Period. GigPark reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond its reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of the Rules. Should any such attempt be made, GigPark reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including and not limited to, criminal prosecution.
If the identity of a contestant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the contestant. The individual assigned to the email address for the domain associated with the submitted email address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected contestant may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized account holder. All entries must be submitted from a valid email account.
